About Al Arbour

April 7 & 8, 2016 - Long Island, NY

Four decades of New York Islanders Alumni gathered to celebrate the legendary coach's life. The Stanley Cup, Jack Adams Trophy and Arbour's Hall of Fame display items were also present. A memorial Mass was celebrated and a private reception for alumni and the Arbour family was held. Photos and a special video from the event are included here.

Alger "Radar" Arbour (November 1, 1932 – August 28, 2015) was a Canadian NHL player, coach, and executive. He is second to Scotty Bowman for games coached in league history and third all-time in wins, behind Scotty Bowman and Joel Quenneville. Under Arbour, the New York Islanders won four consecutive Stanley Cups from 1980 to 1983.
